Downloading and installing Word Solitaire is a simple 3-step process... Step 1 - Download the Word Solitaire setup program. The link below will download a copy of WORDZIP.EXE, a program that contains all of the files that are required to install Word Solitaire. WORDZIP.EXE is 2734 KB in size, and should take approximately 12 minutes to download using a 56k modem.
Step 2 - Run the setup program that you just downloaded in Step 1. The first thing that should appear is a dialog that looks like this: Follow the instructions that appear on the screen to setup Word Solitaire on your computer. You will have an opportunity during setup to specify where you'd like to install the Word Solitaire program and its shortcut. You can just accept the default locations or (if you have a preference) enter your own. When setup is finished, all the windows will go away and you'll be ready to play Word Solitaire!
Step 3 - Run the Word Solitaire program. To play the game, look on your desktop for the Word Solitaire shortcut, and double-click it. It looks like this: Or, if you chose not to add an icon to your desktop, open up your Start menu and look under "Programs" for the entry called "Word Solitaire". It has its own folder, and inside this folder you should see a list of choices like this: Just click on the icon and you'll be playing Word Solitaire! Enjoy!
Uninstalling Word SolitaireIf you ever decide to uninstall Word Solitaire, simply go to your Windows control panel, select "Add / Remove Programs", and click on the entry for Word Solitaire. After a few short moments, Word Solitaire will be removed from your computer.
Getting the Zip FileIf you have your own copy of WinZip (and you know how to use it) you can download the Word Solitaire zip file directly from this site. It's slightly smaller (3130 KB) but contains exactly the same files as the self-extracting executable. You can also try our alternate download site, from Get-A-File. |
