Rummy Drop Download

[ Haversack ]

Downloading and installing Rummy Drop is a simple 3 step process...

Step 1 - Download the Rummy Drop self-extracting executable.  The link below will download a copy of RUMZIP.EXE, a program that contains all of the files that are required by Rummy Drop.  RUMZIP.EXE is 187 KB in size, and should take about one minute to download using a 56.6 modem.

Click Here to Begin Download   (187 KB, 1 minute at 56k)

Step 2 - Run the self-extracting executable that you just downloaded in Step 1.  This will bring up a dialog like the one below, which allows you to specify a location on your hard drive where you'd like to install the Rummy Drop program.  You can accept the default location of "C:\Rummy Drop", or you can type the path to a different folder (e.g. "C:\Games\RumDrop" or "C:\Program Files\Rummy Drop") if you'd rather install it somewhere else.

Unzipping Rummy Drop (4 KB)

Once you've specified the location where you'd like to install Rummy Drop, click the Unzip button.  The 18 files that make up Rummy Drop will then be extracted, de-compressed, and copied to the folder you have specified.  Rummy Drop is now installed on your computer!

Step 3 - Run the Rummy Drop program.  To play the game, open the folder where you installed Rummy Drop (e.g. C:\Rummy Drop) and double-click on the file named RUMDROP.EXE.  Its icon should look like this:

From now on, you can simply repeat step 3 whenever you want to play Rummy Drop.  Or you can create a Windows shortcut that lets you launch Rummy Drop from your desktop or Start menu, as instructed below.

Creating a Shortcut

To make it easier to run Rummy Drop, you can create a Windows shortcut to it and place it on your desktop.  Open the folder where you installed Rummy Drop (e.g. C:\Rummy Drop), click on the file RUMDROP.EXE, and drag it onto the desktop.  Windows will automatically create a shortcut (indicated by the little arrow in the lower left corner of the icon) that lets you play Rummy Drop without having to open up the Rummy Drop folder every time.

Uninstalling Rummy Drop

If you ever decide to uninstall Rummy Drop, simply delete the folder into which you unzipped it.  For instance, if you accepted the default location in Step 2 above, you can uninstall Rummy Drop by deleting the C:\Rummy Drop folder from your hard drive.  If you specified a different location, you'll need to delete that folder instead.

Getting the Zip File

If you have your own copy of WinZip (and you know how to use it) you can download the Rummy Drop zip file directly from this site.  It's slightly smaller (158 KB) but contains exactly the same files as the self-extracting executable.
