[ Haversack ]
We rely on a company called Kagi for all credit card payments. They've built a safe and secure system for handling these transactions over the web -- they process your order, bill your credit card, and send your registration code to you directly. It all happens online and takes very little time! So what do you need to do? Three simple steps:
That's it! Once you receive your registration code(s), just click "Register" inside the game and you can complete your registration. It couldn't be easier! Just click on the link to the order form (above) to get started.
For more traditional payment methods (i.e. check, cash, money order), we can handle your order directly here at Haversack! Just follow these steps:
Once I have received your order, I will generate a special registration code (e.g. "8ag394yu0") and send it to you by email. At this point, you are a legally registered and licensed user of Rime Thyme. Congratulations! Next, to take full advantage of your registration, you will want to enter the code that I send you into the Rime Thyme program...
How to Enter the CodeOnce you've received your registration code via email, you need to supply this code to the Rime Thyme program so it knows you've registered. Start the game as usual, then click on the "Register!" menu. Then on the Ordering Information screen that appears, click the "Register" button again. Finally, on the Register Rime Thyme screen that appears, type in your name and the registration code that you received. It should look something like this: Note: It's very important that you type your name and the code exactly as they were sent to you. If it's possible, use the copy (Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) commands to reduce the chance of error. If you're having trouble with your code, first check to make sure the CapsLock key is not on (since upper case letters like 'A' are different from their lower case counterparts like 'a'). Also make sure you're correctly distinguishing between letter oh (O) and the number zero (0), as well as between the letter ell (l) and the number one (1). If that fails, please feel free to email me!
About SharewareRime Thyme is distributed as a shareware program. In short, this means you can try it before you buy it. You are free to evaluate it for 60 games, but if you'd like to play the game after this evaluation period, you need to register it by sending a registration fee to the authors. That's us -- Jerry Odens and Susan Brooks! Jerry Odens is the original game designer and puzzle master for Rime Thyme. A fan of word games and crossword puzzles (he does four or five a day), Jerry has been collecting homonyms for years. At his home in sunny California he put together a paper version of Rime Thyme to play with family and friends. Then one day after playing Word Solitaire, he contacted Haversack Software with an idea for a computer version of his puzzle game. That's where I came in. My name is Susan Brooks. I'm an independent programmer currently living in Seattle, Washington, and the founder of Haversack Software. When Jerry said he had a thousand puzzles ready to be made into a game (and could probably come up with a thousand more) I jumped at the opportunity! With Jerry editing the puzzles, I programmed the code for Rime Thyme, wrote the help file, did the artwork, set up the marketing, and put up this web site. Over the course of several months, we finished Rime Thyme 1.0. And the rest is history! We really appreciate your registration because:
But those aren't the only reasons you should register. It's also a good idea because...
International UsersFor users outside the U.S., the cost and procedure for registering Rime Thyme is the same. You can pay by a credit card using Kagi's Online Order Form -- they will automatically convert from your currency to US dollars. Or, if you don't want to use a credit card, you can send $12 USD to the address given above. Or, if it is inconvenient for you to send American dollars, you may use any of the currencies listed below, at the price given (which I've based on the approximate exchange rate as of May 27, 1999).
If your currency is not listed in this table, send me an email and I'll try to find an appropriate exchange rate for you. We always enjoy receiving new foreign currencies in the mail! |
