Who thinks up the phrases on these things?  How many are there?  Have all the good lines already been written?  We bought an entire case of the little candies and assembled the following list of phrases from the thousands of hearts we sampled...

That's it for the official ones (at least, that's all we've seen in the many boxes of NECCO SweetHearts we've consumed).  But we can easily think of a few others they could add...

Have your own idea for a Conversation Heart motto?  Send it to me (susan@haversack.com) and I'll add it to the list!   Empirical observation shows that each heart is only big enough for two lines of text.  There's generally a 5-letter limit on the first line, and a 4-letter limit on the second one (not counting punctuation characters). Skinny letters may squeeze in a bit more.  Here some neat ideas that have been suggested so far...
