Downloading and installing Black Jack Drop is a simple 3 step process... Step 1 - Download the Black Jack Drop self-extracting executable. The link below will download a copy of JACKZIP.EXE, a program that contains all of the files that are required by Black Jack Drop. JACKZIP.EXE is 184 KB in size, and should take about one minute to download using a 56k modem.
Step 2 - Run the self-extracting executable that you just downloaded in Step 1. This will bring up a dialog like the one below, which allows you to specify a location on your hard drive where you'd like to install the Black Jack Drop program. You can accept the default location of "C:\Black Jack Drop", or you can type the path to a different folder (e.g. "C:\Games\JackDrop" or "C:\Program Files\Black Jack Drop") if you'd rather install it somewhere else. Once you've specified the location where you'd like to install Black Jack Drop, click the Unzip button. The 14 files that make up Black Jack Drop will then be extracted, de-compressed, and copied to the folder you have specified. Black Jack Drop is now installed on your computer!
Step 3 - Run the Black Jack Drop program. To play the game, open the folder where you installed Black Jack Drop (e.g. C:\Black Jack Drop) and double-click on the file named JACKDROP.EXE. Its icon should look like this: From now on, you can simply repeat step 3 whenever you want to play Black Jack Drop. Or you can create a Windows shortcut that lets you launch Black Jack Drop from your desktop or Start menu, as instructed below.
Creating a ShortcutTo make it easier to run Black Jack Drop, you can create a Windows shortcut to it and place it on your desktop. Open the folder where you installed Black Jack Drop (e.g. C:\Black Jack Drop), click on the file JACKDROP.EXE, and drag it onto the desktop. Windows will automatically create a shortcut (indicated by the little arrow in the lower left corner of the icon) that lets you play Black Jack Drop without having to open up the Black Jack Drop folder every time. Note: if you are using Windows 2000, you may need to hold down the SHIFT and CTRL keys while dragging the icon onto the desktop in order to create a shortcut.
Uninstalling Black Jack DropIf you ever decide to uninstall Black Jack Drop, simply delete the folder into which you unzipped it. For instance, if you accepted the default location in Step 2 above, you can uninstall Black Jack Drop by deleting the C:\Black Jack Drop folder from your hard drive. If you specified a different location, you'll need to delete that folder instead.
Getting the Zip FileIf you have your own copy of WinZip (and you know how to use it) you can download the Black Jack Drop zip file directly from this site. It contains exactly the same files as the self-extracting executable, but is slightly smaller (154 KB). |
